Title of Talk - Three microswimmers stories
Abstract
The swimming motion of micro-organisms has recently seen an increasing interest from physicists, utilizing the recent progresses in microscopy and the development of microflu- idics to study this interdisciplinary subject. In these three short seminars, we will present some experimental findings on the swimming behaviors of bacteria and micro-algae. - A new quantification method for bacterial chemotaxis using the 3 channels microfluidic chip. - Long-term dynamical clustering of passive particles induced by swimming bacteria. - Short-term memory effects in the phototactic behaviour of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.
